Helloooo from NZ...this place is proper fabulous!! We had 3 nights in christchurch in the wierdest hotel room I have ever seen, the bathroom was a circular cubicle thing stuck in the corner, lucky we're married now as privacy was definitley not high on the agenda when they were designing those hotel rooms!! We survived though and managed a few good nights out in christchurch, a fab city, so laid back and relaxed, was just what we needed.

We got down tot he business of car hiring, which the first 20mins of driving around were a bit of an experience (to say the least). My wondrous husband decided he'd be lazy and hire an auotmatic - which he hasnt driven in 50 million years and it showed!! Am just happy we got out of the city alive, and that wasnt just cos I was wanting to commit a bit of murder myself!! Happily after 20 mins of driving in the main streets on cchurch douglas figured out the balance of pressure required on the break so that we didnt coming to a screaming halt every 5 secs!!

We're in Akaroa now and oh my god the scenery is fantabulous, mountains rolling onto a gorgeous lake with the greeniest of blue waters..its just amazing!! The weather's not been the best although typically the sun has come out as we're stuck in an internet cafe!! Our accomodation also has provided us with extra company of a night time..a purring puddy cat sleeps at the end of our bed to make sure we're ok!! Hope alls well ye're side..xx

There is a rather naughty comment which could be mentioned but seeing as we are all married and mature now we won't mention it !!!!!!

When can we come and visit ?

Hi uncle Doug & Aunty Aoifa - sounds like you are having a great time - Jamie & I have been supporting the jambos since you have been away and Jamie managed to get a hearts strip like the one you got me. Have fun - we all miss you!! Wish we were at bondi beach for the waves (and I'm sure I could have got somewhere with the sweedish babes) love Scott xx
