Howdy all.
Am writing from Singapore airport as we wait to catch the connecting flight to Perth so just a short update today.
After a full day of travelling I am sweating the proverbial me in a Pub but mood has been lifted by news of another victory for Hearts...5 in a row?? I should stay away more often.
Left Bali earlier today after a week of sunbathing and eating and drinking at minimal cost..also went for a tour of the Island yesterday which was spot on. We have also met loads of interesting people and the only downside was the plague of Mozzies that seemed to take a huge shine to Aoiofa...her legs look like the surface of the moon.
Keep in touch guys and I'll let you know how we get on in Perth.
Luv
Dougie

Hi all..ooh its hot over here!! Nothing much to report in Bali except for lots of drinking and lounging by the pool, our tans are coming along fabulously as is irrevocable liver damage but hey ho, it must be done when the local beer, bintang, is so nice and also so cheap!!
We had our spa day yesterday, which was fab, unfotunately one of the most overriding memories of the day was Doug in his speedo-like-undies which they provided, bless him, just not sure he has the legs to carry it off, although that doesnt seem to worry any of the men over here, its speedo central here like, and we're not talking young supile adonises either..
We've got Budy the bali guide taking us on a tour of the island on friday and we're off into Kuta (the big smoke) tonight for a mad party night, although going on the past form of this week one or the other of us will be falling asleep on the table by 11 o'clock and begging to go home, its this married life stuff, turns you into a right boring old fart!!!
anyway..hope all is good on ye're side of the world..

Howdy Folks.
Hope all is well back in the baltic tundra that is the British/Irish winter.
As Aoif said we have now hit Bali, our resort is stunning and am starting to chill out after the hassles of Den Pasar airport, apparently carrying any porny-graphic material into the Country carries a jail term and as I had a copy of Nuts & FHM in my bag I was a little nervous. That coupled with the fact that I was well and truly fleeced at the taxi rank and by a Porter at baggage collection and well, it was not the best start. Since then we have spent the last day or so chilling out at the pool/beach and sampling the local nectar which I have to say kicks the backside out of Tennents. I am also assured by the bar staff that the Bali brew is100% gout friendly so all good there. We have a few days of activities planned although were gutted to learn that the Water Park is closed for rennovations.
Singapore was quality, we did all the usual touristy things including Cocktails at Raffles, night safari at the zoo and an Open Bus tour of the city however the high point for me was the restaurant on the first night, a french theme restaurant where all the waitresses dressed up in French Maids outfits (and yes Aoifa was happy with the choice before the accussations start to fly).
Anyway am now off to check out the Rugby/Football scores from yesterday before my time on the computer runs down (although I was delighted to hear that the Jambos have cemented their grip on 3rd place).
Take it easy.

Oh am EXHAUSTED!!! We were up at 5am this morning to make sure we were at the airport in plenty of time for our next destination..sun, sea and poolside drinking in Bali..how very exciting!!!
Singapore was lovely, very very hot and sticky with not much sunshine so we just had to focus on drinking surprisingly enough! We had our Singapore Slings in Raffles - the first one much nicer than the second - food with chopsticks -they kindly gave us a fork after a while although I almost have it mastered, rice is still beating me!!
Aaaagh, 1min37secs left..hope everybody is well, not missing ye much yet...
